Phantasy & Dextone Remix Competition – The Results

Phantasy & Dextone Remix Competition – The Results
9 Jan, 2017

It’s time to announce the winners of the Phantasy & Dextone Remix Competition and what a competition it’s been! Without a doubt the most varied in selection so far and with tracks submitted from all over the world it’s proof that the drum and bass scene stretches further afield that just the UK.

Both Phantasy and Dextone have listened to the full playlist a number of times and have agreed on the following results. The winner will be contacted directly by Phantasy.

Great work everyone and watch out for the start of February when the next production competition will take place..

First Place – Under The City

“We really liked the switch up and use of our sounds in this one. The extra layers really make a positive change and the energy this track brings is wicked! The half step vibe is also pretty special. Maybe the second drop should be switched for the first? The mixdown needs some work though, something we certainly could help with.”

Second Place – Hell Negative

“Certainly no rest for the dancefloor on this one! The groove just hammers through. Good work.”

Third Place – Current Alias

“We really liked the way this one starts with a slower tempo and builds into drum and bass although the intro certainly needs to be shorter.”

The full playlist of tunes for the competition can be found below.
