LSB & DRS release Angels Fall in honour of Marcus Intalex
31 May, 2017

Marcus Intalex’s untimely and tragic passing has shaken the global D&B community to the core. The outpouring of tributes from all over the world have been a testament to the sheer impact he had on the scene as a whole. This week has seen the entire community grieving together from all walks of life, celebrating a figure who helped shape this genre into everything we love today, and whose impact and influence over it was somewhat overwhelming.

For some, he was the reason they fell in love with D&B, the inspiration behind many new bedroom producers who wanted to make music like he did. For others, he was the honest mentor who guided many careers and nurtured so much raw talent, right up until his death.

In the wake of his passing, LSB & DRS have released the aptly-titled Angels Fall, with an option to donate to support Marcus’ family with funeral costs at this difficult time.

Featuring powerful and heart-wrenching vocals from DRS, stunning production from LSB and a hauntingly beautiful backing vocal, the track seems to embody those emotions we’re all feeling and yet cannot put in to words.

Along with the release, Soul:r put out the following statement:

“We are still very much mourning the sad and sudden passing of our beloved friend Marcus Kaye, known to many as Marcus Intalex or Trevino.

Whilst longer term we will be putting our heads together to find a fitting tribute to Marcus’s life and music, for now we would like to share a track from DRS and LSB which seems to reflect our thoughts at this time.

The track ‘Angels Fall’ is available now to download with an option to make a donation which will help us to support Marcus’s Mum Pat and girlfriend Ayumi in the short term and with funeral arrangements while finances are being arranged. Any excess funds raised will be distributed to causes close to their hearts.

Thank you for your messages of love and support and your many memories of Marcus which are giving us comfort in this dark time.”

It’s time to dig deep, honour and celebrate a true legend.

Farewell Marcus. Thank you for everything.
