Calibre fans rejoice! Last week he announced a Phonox residency taking place every Friday in May, and today the full line-up has been revealed along with the golden nugget we’ve all been waiting for: News of his Shelflife 6 release date!
Following his seminal XOYO residency last year – which saw him flexing all shades of the bass spectrum with an immense roster of guests – he’s back with another carefully curated line-up, kicking off with the Shelflife 6 launch party alongside SP:MC on the 1st of May (the official release date of the highly-anticipated album). More details are yet to come surrounding the full release – for now we’ve been treated to the album artwork, which was also used as the official artwork for the residency – painted by Calibre himself.
The rest of the month sees him welcoming the likes of Breakage, 6 Figure Gang’s Jossy Mitsu, Schatrax, SGT Pokes and Doc Scott to the South-London club, once again showcasing his ever-expansive tastes and eclectic influences spanning drum & bass, 140, techno, house, jungle, breaks and all sonic shades in between.
If you were lucky enough to catch any of his XOYO residency, you’ll know just how special a night curated by one of the scene’s most enigmatic and gifted artists is, and if you weren’t – boy, are you in for a treat.
Block out your calendars and catch us in the front row at Phonox every Friday in May…
