Feeling the winter chill?
Nah, us neither.
When we asked Drumsound & Bassline Smith to put together a list of heavyweight, visceral tracks to get us warmed up during the chillier times, we thought it would actually be cold outside. Still, tracks like these sound good any weather.
It’s been a big year for the north UK trio: kicking off the year with their label Technique’s 15 year anniversary, finally dropping Tantrum Desire’s debut album, smashing Demo & Cease’s Ladies Night out of the VIP park, they’re wrapping up 2015 with the Beatport-smashing new single The Truth. We’d love to do a pun about wrapping up warm but we’ve already addressed the unseasonable weather, let’s dig deep anyway…
Drumsound & Bassline Smith – The Truth (Technique)
Brand new one from ourselves; we’ve been testing out since the summer and we’ve been really happy with the response. It’s straight-up, in-your-face drum & bass!
Drumsound & Bassline Smith – Outlaw Renegade (Technique)
The complimentary flip-side to The Truth, Outlaw Renegade is a rolls nicely. It has been getting a great response from across the board, really happy with this one.
Decimal Bass – Work for Nothing (Playaz)
Annix’s Decimal Bass doing exactly what he does best, but this time executing the half-time, drum step flow with perfection. Guaranteed to warm the cockles on any dancefloor.
Demo & Cease – Ladies Night (Drumsound & Bassline Smith VIP) (Technique)
The original track should need no introduction… Then we did a sneaky VIP version. Originally on Human Imprint, Dieselboy & Demo & Cease gave us their blessing to release on Technique and the response has been phenomenal.
Calyx & Teebee – Cloud 9 (Ram)
These boys can do no wrong. Calyx back on vocals adding a soulful depth to this 80s new wave cinematic vibe number. Works overtime, pure vibes.
Smooth – Revenge (Viper)
The B-side to his WTF single, we love the vibe on this one. A nice little gem to will get any dance bubbling in no time.
Kronology – Vertigo (Worldwide Audio)
Taken from the Cubic EP on Technique’s sister label W.A.R which also including tracks from Erb N Dub, gradual, Infrasonik, Max NRG & North Base. Don’t sleep on this one.
Dimension – Panzer (MTA)
One of the most consistent producers in drum & bass right now, the extremely talented Dimension is back with another belter!
Drumsound & Bassline Smith – The Truth is out now on Technique:
