Micky Finn Remix Competition – The Results

Micky Finn Remix Competition – The Results

The time has come to release the news everybody has been waiting for as the Micky Finn remix competition comes to a close.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks and the response via Soundcloud has been excellent with some awesome feedback from all over the world.

If you have been living in a hole for the last month and missed the tracks, the full playlist can be found here:

One thing that’s been really great about this competition is the diverse range of production. Everyone seems to have taken a different approach to their track and it really shows how much hard work has been put in so big up yourselves for that!

Both Micky Finn and Voltage have put together their top three tunes and to be honest, you might have already heard them being played in their sets already!

I know people have been asking me for a release date on their favourite but for now I can’t really comment as that’s down to the judges. Hold tight!

So here goes, the top 3 tracks are as follows:

Voltage

3rd Place

I Got 5 On It (Sublow Remix)

2nd Place

Summer Breeze (Intager Remix)

1st Place

Man Of Steal – (Filthy Habits & Jeopardize Remix)

And from the man himself, here’s Micky’s feedback and his top 3.

“I chose my top 3 for a variety of reasons. The ‘No Diggity’ remix made it current event though it’s over 15 years old. The producer could have taken the cheesy route but instead he rolled it out. That really impressed me.

Luniz remix… I loved it! How the producer didn’t let the vocals slide for too long and the way the drop impacted the track was superb. I think many would have been intimidated by that track in terms of a remix. Made me think, it’s time for 5 on it again!

Man Of Steal was streets ahead in terms of production and in terms of what they did to the mix hence why this is my number 1 choice.

To all that took part, sadly I can’t pick 3 winners but I thank you for all your hard work. I know how difficult it is banging away in a small room trying to achieve greatness so please don’t stop doing what you love.

Tomorrow is another day, thank you so much.”

3rd Place

No Diggity (DaRK.i.d. Remix)

2nd Place

I Got 5 On It (Sublow Remix)

1st Place

Man Of Steal – (Filthy Habits & Jeopardize Remix)

Big up to all those who entered the competition, look out for the next installment in the Spring.
