Today sees the release of Dimension’s debut EP on Cyantific’s imprint. Digital World and Detroit: you may well have heard them on The Risky’s podcasts, or indeed battered by various key DJs this summer… Two beautiful melodic slices of powerful drum & bass loaded with equal part bass chaos and crisp euphoric synths. Serious ear worms; once you’ve heard them, they’re hard to forget. So much so, they’ve made Cyantific up his game on the label front.
“He was the catalyst for us to take things to the next level,” explains Cyantific. “I teamed up with Wilkinson as a business partner and hired a label manager. Hearing Dimension’s demos for the first time really inspired us!”
Not bad for a label that was originally set a vehicle for his own music after leaving Hospital Records. And with only one release a year – Brighter Day with Logistics in 2010, Obey / Bounce It in 2011 and Mirador / Defect earlier this year – it seems Dimension has given Cyantific a genuine boot up the business arse. And it’s not hard to see why, check out Digital World right here…

“He’s got the musical talent as well great production skills,” explains Cyantific. “You get a lot of people coming through who are either good musically or they’re really good at producing. It takes time to bring the two together. For someone, straight off the back, to have both skills is amazing. He seems to have everything all in one. We couldn’t let him slip by so signed him up.”
And now they’re hooked…. Cyantific Music are now on the hunt for more new, exciting talent!
“Yeah,” he grins. “Our door is always open for demos! We’re seeking great new talent right now! Obviously the music’s got to fit in with what we’re doing but this is serious… We’re taking the time to build up the label properly. It’s got to be a steady platform for me and the other artists. We need to do things right and make sure we can offer something artists won’t get anywhere else.”
Got what it takes? Then upload your beats via their dropbox on www.soundcloud.com/cyantificmusic.
