It’s always a good day for drum & bass when The North Quarter announce their next release, and they’ve just made our week by revealing the next EP on the label comes courtesy of scene veteran FD, and is now available to pre-order.
News dropped this morning, with the first single featuring Fox’s dulcet tones, and a slick video to boot…
Infinitely suave, ‘Always Something’ oozes class and sophistication with every note, and sets the perfect tone for the rest of the EP.
Entitled ‘Alone With Everybody’, the highly-anticipated release is set to drop October 13, and doesn’t follow the usual conventions of a ‘typical’ EP. 9-tracks deep (including 2 instrumentals), it’s peppered with superbly-produced atmospheric interludes which make for a proper listening experience.
Featuring a dreamy collab with label boss Lenzman, an infectious, jazz-infused number entitled Ice Cream, as well as an unexpected ambient techno number that once again showcases FD’s versatility as an artist, the release is superbly executed and flaunts a mature sonic palette that could only be delivered by a seasoned professional.
Yet another brilliant offering from The North Quarter, once again cementing their place amongst the most revered tastemakers in D&B.
