Time for Staff Picks – a chance for the Drum&BassArena crew to rep tunes they are feeling.
This week’s selection comes from Craig our Product Marketing Manager, self-confessed music nerd and all-round bass music addict.
Check out his top picks:
Rido – Twisted Inside VIP (Metalheadz)
Rido takes his classic original and beefs it up with ultra-rugged percussion and a growling bassline, which, when they drop out, make that vocal all the more poignant. Goosebump business.
Calyx & Teebee – Perspectives (Ram)
I love Kemo’s hip hop nostalgia and that irresistible loose bass on Pure Gold, but Perspectives is a juddering beast full of intricate drums and space age FX – huge in a very different way.
Enei & Eastcolours – 2012 (Critical)
Possibly predictable to draw for Enei but Machines is easily one of the best artist albums of the year! Enei teams up with Eastcolors for some screwface-inducing Russian heat on 2012, loaded with an oscillating bassline and driving minimal percussion.
