It’s a great day to be a Philth fan. Let’s be honest, every day is, but he’s just revealed the full release details of his highly-anticipated debut album ‘Moments In Time’.
13 tracks deep, it’s the first instalment of an excursion deep into the many layers of his brilliant, and ever-eclectic musical psyche. So many layers the album had to be split into 2 parts… The first is landing on Dispatch November 1st on all formats (with the Beatport and Spotify exclusives dropping October 17th) and features collaborations with the likes of HLZ, Becca Jane Grey, Facing Jinx, Wreckless, Ella Sopp and Sense MC.
Building on the rich sonic tapestry he’s worked tirelessly on throughout his impressive career, ‘Moments In Time’ once again showcases and cements his wide-ranging versatility as an artist, with surprising twists and turns throughout, in signature Philth fashion.
In his own words:
I’m very proud and excited to present my debut album ‘Moments in Time’ on the label that has been my home for the last 5 years, Dispatch Recordings. I want to send a big shout out to all my talented friends who have worked with me on this project, the collaborations were very organic and the art by London From The Rooftops is just perfect.
There are also some really personal songs on the album, and styles that people might not necessarily associate with Dispatch…. I didn’t want to write the same track 10 times, the album touches on everything I love about drum & bass, so I want to say a massive thanks to Ant for giving me creative freedom and encouraging me to be true to myself and my sound. We had one meeting where he told me “your deep stuff is your best, keep doing what you’re doing” and this gave me the motivation to push further with the deep and soulful vibes. Having this relationship with the label means I’ve enjoyed the process so much and love what I’ve created, and now I’m looking forward to taking the album on the road and playing it to the ravers supporting my sound.
After what feels like a lifetime of anticipation for the album, we can confirm his most personal body of work to date was well worth the wait. Roll on October 17!
