2014 is showing no signs of slowing down. As the months roll by we’re bombarded with new releases, the latest mixes/downloads, not to mention catching up with artists to get all the latest inside info.
In case you’ve been chilling in a cave somewhere and are daunted by the prospect of playing catch ups, we thought we’d do it for you. It’s time for our monthly wrap up again, looking at the hottest releases, mixes/downloads and top write-ups. Lets go!
Earlier in March we were impressed with Ewol & Espired’s debut EP on Most Addictive Records. Kids these days… Back in my day I was… well, definitely not releasing EP’s with tunes showcasing an air of maturity that’s for sure.
Samurai’s Dutch master Fre4knc also spoke to us about his Tellurian EP and his fascination with sound.
Ricky Force gave us an insight into how the Manix remix came about for Stepback Sessions 5, and what keeps his love for d&b alive.
We also had a chat with Josh from Hybrid Minds about their appearance at Spearhead Presents at Plan B in London, and about their love for all the light and dark frequencies in drum & bass.
Along with all the great chats we had, we also had to keep up with the newest releases and latest mixes/ downloads…
Break unleashed Symmetry Sessions 1 with some certified bangers, along with heavenly remixes by Calibre.
Skeptical had us pulling screw faces at his Fourfit EP 1 on Soul:r.
Frankee freed the monster that was Gully/ Away on RAM Records and blew our heads off.
Supreme Being released the bouncy Loco EP on Image Audio.
DJ Marky took us back to 91-92 on a rave days history lesson.
We had a free download of Parallaxis Gates of Dawn exclusive to Drum&BassArena.
After our chat with SCAR earlier in the month, Aerodrome was available as a free download, also exclusive to Drum&BassArena.
And Wales’ secret weapon Lung provided us with a Fabriclive Promo mix ahead of his appearance at Fabric.
Roll on April, what other goodies are in store for us?
