Heads up: Drum & Bass Awards 2014 takes place on Saturday March 1st at The Institute, Birmingham and every aspect of the event looks next-level.
The line-up reads like a who’s who in heavyweight drum & bass jungle. Three arenas heavy, each room boasts the brightest, baddest and boldest of talent. Main room warriors include Andy C, Friction, Hazard, Calyx & TeeBee, Hype, Loadstar, Mampi Swift, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, LTJ Bukem, Crissy Criss, Grooverider, Bailey, Logan D, Majistrate, DJ SS and Total Recall. The jungle arena is home to some of the most legendary names in our scene’s foundations including Randall, Nicky Blackmarket, DJ Dazee, Donovan Badboy Smith, Kenny Ken, Pilgrim and Tim Ryan. Last but by no means least is the nuskool talent zone where the likes of Alpha, Turno, Dialogue, Harry Bizzle, Smoke, Rapid, Uncle Dugz, Basslayerz, Apollo & Motion and Kallista all promise to deliver serious goods.
A strident salute to the very best in the scene, the Drum & Bass Awards unites the party with the highly sought accolades: a showcase of who the D&B-loving public think smashed it in 2013 and a full-on rave, it’s the perfect complement to our very own awards, as discussed with the event founder MC Magika on this very blog last year.
Drum&BassArena picked up two awards last year with Best Website and a Lifetime Achievement for our founder The Risky. Naturally we’d love to repeat the success this year. Voting closes on Saturday February 1st 2014 and you can make your love known right here.
