The ADE D&B takeover starts here… On Friday October 19 Drum&BassArena will be teaming with ADE Beats at Café Lux for Amsterdam Dance Event. And we’re bringing Futurebound, DJ Hype, Aphrodite, Black Sun Empire, The Prototypes, A.M.C, Kove and many more with us.
The largest and longest running electronic music conference in Europe, ADE is a five day event attracting professionals and aspiring individuals from all corners of the globe, all genres and all aspects of electronic music culture. The aim is simple: make new connections, find new opportunities, learn new things, engage in panels and workshops and help develop and push the industry forward. An ideal destination for anyone looking to develop their career in music either as artists or any other role within the industry, it’s also host to hundreds of events throughout the week, making it an exceptional excuse for a bit of a party in one of Europe’s most exciting cities.
We’re hosting a party ourselves: an evening session at Café Lux with Futurebound, Kove and A.M.C and hosts Visionobi and Innate MC. The peak chapter of our schedule, it follows an afternoon of insight, knowledge and information as we celebrate all aspects of the genre and look at where it’s heading. We’ll also be hosting one to one demo listening sessions with some of the most influential labels in operation right now.
With drum & bass currently thriving with next generation talents, and new acts influencing the ever bubbling jungle melting pot, there’s been a strong feeling of a return to the foundation spirit in drum & bass in recent years. It feels like the scene is more open to ideas, sounds and collaborations between subgenres, artists and generations. We’ll be celebrating this at our ADE Beats debut with a series of panels that stretches from the very roots to the future. Once again, the aim is simple: to create new connections and opportunities for all professionals and aspiring individuals in the genre and to represent and push drum & bass culture at the highest level at Europe’s largest and longest running electronic music conference.
Full event details can be found here.
These panels will be taking place throughout the day on the 19th:
Keynote speech: Futurebound
The Foundations of Drum & Bass: An interactive audience Q&A with Aphrodite, DJ Hype, Futurebound and Scott Bourne.
D&B The Global Chapter: a look at how the world changed drum & bass featuring Black Sun Empire, Noisia’s management and more.
D&B The Next Chapter: who’s taking D&B into tomorrow? We ask A.M.C, The Prototypes, Kove and Thrasher.
From illegal raves to mainstage: a discussion on how the drum & bass live scene has evolved with some of the biggest promoters and bookers in the genre including Let It Roll, Major League and Metropolis.
The event will conclude with DJ sets from A.M.C, Futurebound and Kove. If you’re interested in working in drum & bass, you’re a developing artist, or you run a label or event in the genre, we recommend you join us.
See you there!
