London, Saturday December 14: the legendary Knowledge Magazine will be hosting a free record fair to launch their 25 Years Of KMag anniversary book.
Taking place at Werkhaus/Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane, a stack of labels and brands will be representing at the free event with exclusive merch, rarities, books, collectable wax and more. Just in time for Christmas, stalls will be held by pioneering labels such as Ibiza Records and V Recordings, Billy Daniel Bunter‘s massive rave and foundation celebration Music Mondays, DJ Phantasy, dancehall damagers Nice Up!, longstanding Essex vinyl store Intense Records and many more… Including bass revolutionists Subpac who will be present giving demonstrations.
Between these stalls and more, rare, deleted and original records from the likes of Ram, 31, Surburban Base, Moving Shadow, Formation, Signature, True Playaz, Good Looking, Metalheadz and Dread will all be on sale. If Clashmouth’s roadblock openings are anything to go by this year, customers are advised to head down early to catch the best wax.
Open from 11am – 11pm, sets will also be played by Ray Keith, Uncle Dugs and many more.
The pop up shop is to celebrate the release of 25 Years Of Knowledge Magazine. The high grade heavyweight hardback is a one-off publication from the genre’s most longstanding magazine that ran from 1994 to 2014. It went on sale this week and comprises 160 pages of features documenting the genre’s many twists and turns, its cultural impact and its exciting future. Like many of KMag’s famous career-kickstarting mix CDs, this is one for the collectors!
