It’s all about that feeling…
Even though many of us have been unable to experience it on the dancefloor for almost a year. Even though the idea of raving may still seem like a pipedream right now and it feels like we’re never getting it back… We will never ever forget that feeling when the music hits us.
The goosebumps, the adrenaline, the chaos, the energy, the shared looks between strangers that mean more than a thousand words. The fact that we are all part of something much bigger, much deeper, much more rooted in culture than the sum of its parts. The way the dynamics invoke emotions, physical reactions and capture memories you’ll cherish forever.
Through this feeling, we are all connected.
For quarter of a century Drum&BassArena has been dedicated to it. 25 years deep, we’ve been wearing our hearts on our sleeve, constantly chasing that rush of emotions and sensory overload the best drum & bass jungle music can induce. The very first online platform dedicated to drum & bass, we’ve been lucky enough to unashamedly represent, celebrate and push this sound and the incredible talents who make it since 1996… And this year we’re going to town on it.
To mark 25 years of Drum&BassArena we’re filling the whole year with love for the music and paying homage to the culture that brought us here. Through exclusive releases, interviews, merch drops, streams, events and videos we want to capture what it is to be involved and committed to the music. We want to capture the passion we all feel for the music and the scene, how it unites us across every corner of the globe from Sheffield to Shanghai, New Zealand to New York, how it’s founded in some of the most powerful and important black-rooted musical movements of all time and how it continues to evolve, develop and mutate into the future and bring more and more of us together.
We don’t know how 2021 will roll out in the real world. But we do know what we’re doing here at Drum&BassArena… Paying homage to the whole scene worldwide and every single person who’s been involved in it from the ravers to the DJs, to the many many folk who work behind the scenes to keep it going. Each and every one of us plays a part in this.
Each and every one of us shares that feeling… Stay tuned for more scene love very soon.
