Welcome to week five of Match Of The Deejay!
The game is simple: Each week The Risky goes against a guest DJ to predict the forthcoming weekend’s Premiership scores… And for this week the FA Cup fixtures too.
They score…
1 point for a correct win or draw
2 points for the correct score
At the end of the season we’ll scan the scores in a bid to find the most accurate DJ in the scene (not including The Risky) and give them the very first MOTDJ trophy!
This week: Moving Fusion
We’re really pleased with this week’s D&B footie face-off as Moving Fusion’s Jeff Langton hit us up personally with a challenge to The Risky.
“Well I’ve got to be beat Risky, for sure!” he laughs. “I’m a big football fan so the minute I saw this on the site I thought ‘yeah, I’ll have a piece of that!’”
Jeff’s a lifelong Liverpool fan. And while he admits their league form hasn’t been as good as it could be, there’s some cup-shaped light at the end of the tunnel. “It’s not been a great season to be honest,” he admits. “In the league our form’s been terrible but we’ve won one cup and the FA Cup semi is coming up. Despite our league form being terrible there’s a chance of a cup double. It might not be as bad as it seems!”
Meanwhile in the Moving Fusion sonic laboratory, there’s not so much as a sniff of bad form. Their recent Viper EP Attention/Mystery Stranger is still killing it as the duo focus on their next exciting project… The relaunch of Spar Moving Fusion’s label Terrafunk.
“Yeah, there’s a lot of really exciting things happening mate,” grins Jeff. “It’s all about the singles for us right now. Whether it’s for Viper or Terrafunk, we’re just focusing on making the best possible singles a DJ can possibly want.”
Congratulations Jeff, you’ve pipped The Risky to the post 6-5 and scored higher than any previous DJ!
