Match Of The Deejay: The Final!
Surely you know the rules by now?
Just in case: Each week The Risky goes against a guest DJ to predict the forthcoming weekend’s Premiership scores…
They score…
1 point for a correct win or draw
2 points for the correct score
At the end of the season we’ll scan the scores in a bid to find the most accurate DJ in the scene (not including The Risky) and give them the very first MOTDJ trophy!
This week: Keyman
This is it, the season finale! We already know who the most accurate DJ is in the scene… It’s Neil from Horizons. He trounced the competition with an impressive score of eight several weeks ago and his trophy is being sculpted by Drum&BassArena’s in-house silver craftsmen as you read this.
BUT, The Risky remains on top with a highest score of nine, which he gained against J Majik only two weeks ago. We thought we’d finish the season with one final challenge. It’s old school vs new school in the ultimate D&BTV presenter showdown. All welcome Keyman to the predictions table.
“It’s got to be done; the old D&BTV presenter versus the new one!” grins Keyman. “Plus we’re both mad for football so we thought it would be a good laugh. How am I going to celebrate if I win? I haven’t thought that far ahead! Probably laugh a lot in his face, rub his face in it and gloat about it until August. And if he beats me? He won’t see me for a few weeks!”
Regardless of who wins or loses, it’s all about the beautiful game. And for Keyman that means Arsenal.
“I’m a diehard Arsenal fan,” he grins. “Okay, so the past seven years have been to pretty dyer, but as long as the scum (Spurs) don’t finish above us during this poor period it’s a good consolation… Third isn’t a championship but it’s better than 6th (Chelski). And our Champions League campaign doesn’t start in august… Again! ”
Passionate words there from Keyman. Arsenal stayed above Tottenham by a whisker but he draws against The Risky in an impressive 8-8 finale.
So, congratulations to Neil Horizons (your trophy is still being worked on by our in-house silversmith) and big ups to all DJs who took part. See you again next season!
