It’s week three on Match Of The Deejay, and the game is settling in nicely…
It’s simple: Each week The Risky goes against a guest DJ to predict the forthcoming weekend’s Premiership scores.
They score…
1 point for a correct win or draw
2 points for the correct score
At the end of the season we’ll scan the scores in a bid to find the most accurate DJ in the scene (not including The Risky) and give them the very first MODJ trophy!
This week: Futurebound
Destination Liverpool, home to Futurebound… A proud Red, and, having taken time away from the studio to develop his label Viper, a pretty chuffed businessman, too.
“I’ve just been getting my teeth into the label,” he tells us. “We’ve done a lot of remix work but I’ve invested my time in developing the core artists and releases and building up the business. But now that’s running like clockwork and I’ve been able to spend more time in the studio. We know it’s time to do a new album, we’re really happy with the material we’ve got so far. The first single’s ready to roll very soon…”
Already on the playlist for a select few DJs, the Luke Bingham-featured All I know is out late next month. And we can expect the album before the end of the year. In the meantime, let’s talk Liverpool.
“I’ve had a season ticket since 1985,” he grins. “Liverpool is a football mad city, you’re born into it. If you don’t like it, you’ve got no chance. My cousin plays for Newcastle, so football runs through the family.”
He’s should have no problem beating The Risky then… Tune in on Monday to see if he does.
Big ups to Futurebound, he’s pipped The Risky at the post 5-4, putting him joint first with Friction!
Scores so far…
Futurebound – 5
Friction – 5
Byran Gee – 3
