The rules: Each week The Risky goes against a guest DJ to predict the forthcoming weekend’s Premiership scores…
They score…
1 point for a correct win or draw
2 points for the correct score
At the end of the season we’ll scan the scores in a bid to find the most accurate DJ in the scene (not including The Risky) and give them the very first MOTDJ trophy!
This week: DLR
DLR is a Spurs man through and through. And with this week’s revelations on Roy Hodgson as the new England manager, he’s not a happy man.
“I’ve sat here watching the FA and the press ruin our season,” he sighs. “The press are out of control… They’d written ‘Martinez is favourite when Harry leaves’ They didn’t even know Harry was going to be made manager! It wasn’t even true! That spoilt the season if I’m honest.”
Spoilt, but not ruined. Right now Tottenham are sitting pretty in the top five at fourth…
“Oh our team’s good, don’t get me wrong,” says DLR. “But we do get carried away. Top five is good but we need to look at the Champions League if we want to keep up the big boys. We haven’t been world class, but we’ve been good. I mean if you look at Chelsea and the amount of experience and trophies they’ve got and look at Tottenham and it’s pretty impressive what they’ve managed to achieve!”
Indeed. Back to the beats, and DLR’s got some juicy news which we can’t reveal quite yet… But can promise we’ll be the first to tell you. In the meantime you can expect an awesomely deep and dubby remix of Amoss’s Footloose with Octane and Linden for Horizons’ big 50th EP coming very, very soon.
Commiserations to DLR… The Risky wins 6-2!
Tune in on Thursday for the final MOTDJ of the season!
