Each week The Risky goes head to head with a fellow football-loving DJ to predict the Premier League results the following Saturday.
They will win…
1 point for a correct win or draw prediction
2 points for guessing the exact score
At the end of the season we’ll scan the scores in a bid to find the most accurate DJ in the scene (not including The Risky) and give them the very first MOTDJ trophy!
This week: Bryan Gee…
Bryan’s all about Chelsea, and he’s in a good mood about the forthcoming game with West Brom. “We’re back again,” he laughs. “We had a good result on Saturday with Bolton but West Brom smashed Sunderland last weekend and no one saw that coming! Last time we played them we beat them by one point. Typical Chelsea – the last 15 minutes was backs against the wall, proper hands-in mouth-stuff! Real worry! It’s not gonna be easy but I’ve got to back my team.”
Meanwhile at V HQ, Bryan’s been battering his calendar with release plans. Keeping up the pressure from January’s Club Sessions the Gee-man’s firing some big releases in the coming months including a new Big, Bad & Heavy mix by Jumping Jack Frost, Eveson’s long awaited Last Summer Of Love LP, an eclectic long player by David Boomah and a celebration of Brazil’s new wave of drum & bass players like Level 2 and DJ Chap.
“It was always your Markys, your XRSs, your Patifes. They were the main players but it’s opened up to this new breed of guys who are really on fire. We’re showcasing the new sound. We want everyone to see the full picture. It reminds me of Full Cycle back in the day! A boiling pot of talent, inspiring each other, all feeding off each other, mixing and vibing together. It’s keeping me on my toes!”
Just like Chelsea, then…
Congratulations Bryan! You’ve pipped Risky by a point, winning 3-2!
