Good, then we’ll begin…
Introducing Circa, a brand new D&B night in the capital dedicated to both the future and our scene’s illustrious legacy. Held at Vauxhall’s Hidden, expect to be bombarded with bass from the ages as they celebrate everything that truly bangs.
Kicking off on September 22, they’re starting as they mean to go on with an album showcase and a line-up so deliciously varied and heavy rumour has it they’ve already caused over 50 promoters to cry themselves to sleep.
The main event is the launch Symmetry Recordings’ The Other Side album. Their first full length since label boss Break’s album Resistance in 2010 it features the very best of the label’s talent with some superfly exclusives and DJ treats. Naturally Break will be back in full force with Octane & DLR, Die and Xtrah all representing… Plus a very special guest!
There’s more… No celebration of drum & bass is complete without a dedication to the legacy. And you can get a better dedication than Hidden’s second room’s headliner Randall. The man who influenced the likes of Andy C and Friction and is widely noted as a ‘DJ’s DJ’, he’s promised some serious treats. Joining Randall in the Reflections Room is Halogenix and Circa residents SD, Holmes and Onna. All of whom have mixes right here.
Wicked line-up, right? Fancy winning some tickets? Then answer this ridiculously easy/borderline patronising question and get it over to comps@breakbeat.co.uk before 4pm September 21 along with your name and number.
