SubsonicAfter years of Djing as a hobby and going out every weekend to Jungle & Drum & Bass events over the years Subsonic's passion for the music turned him on to music production. After locking himself away in the studio for a number of years to learn the skills to write & produce music he began to send tunes out to the likes of Andy C, Basher, Xample - one half of Loadstar - and other key people in the scene for feedback. During that time 'Electroversy' was written as a collaboration project by Subsonic and Sparfunk which Andy C went on to support & play at a Ram Records Night at Fabric. At the time Andy C had just recently finalised his Nightlife 4 Mix Compilation and had said that he would have included 'Electroversy' in the mix he had received it sooner.
The musical journey began when Subsonic sent a tune entitled 'Kamikaze' to 'Risky' the founder or DnB Arena & Co Founder of AEI Media and as a result was instanty featured on the DnB Arena Podcast that day and labelled as hot new talent. That same evening Subsonic received a phonecall from Titan Records label boss DJ AMC inviting Subsonic to a meeting with himself and Risky as they were interesting in signing 'Kamikaze' to Titan Records and wanted to hear more of his music to potentially sign also. After hearing more of Subsonic's music Risky & AMC were impressed with his production skills and could see lots of potential in him being a future star in the DnB music scene.
As a result Subsonic was instantly signed for 2 x 12" singles with an album deal to follow.
Subsonic's debut release on Titan Records was a double AA side - 'Kamikaze' & 'Flatliner' which was released on December 5th 2011 on Vinyl & Digital formats and has had support from Risky, AMC, Andy C, Fabio, Simon Bassline Smith, Mind Vortex, Wilkinson, and was featured on Fabio & Grooveriders Radio 1 Drum & Bass Show 3 weeks running as well as support from Crissy Criss on his Radio 1 Xtra Drum & Bass Show.
Subsonic's current musical projects are already getting great feedback & support from Ram Records 'Culture Shock' as well as causing as buzz in the DnB Arena & Titan Records Camp. 2012 will see Subsonic writing & releasing further solo projects & remixes, collaborations, working on album material as well as DJing in the UK and Europe.
